Delete your Uistio account primarily from the profile view in the application. If you cannot access the application, request deletion by email.
Delete the account in the application
Use this implemented path in the application:
Sign in → Profile → Delete account and all data → Delete permanently
After confirmation, deletion proceeds in stages. Saving new user data is blocked after deletion starts. If the application says deletion is incomplete, follow its retry guidance and do not create a new account with the same sign-in method while deletion is in progress.
Before deletion, save your personal decision and appeal links securely. A link may be needed to continue a matter after account deletion.
Data handled by deletion
The deletion path cleans account-linked profile, catch, lure, photo, location, notification, community, feed, competition, report, feedback, friendship, block and mute data according to the implemented deletion procedure.
A public competition and other participants' entries remain if its founder deletes their account; the founder's own entries and personal data are removed. A private competition is removed according to the applicable deletion procedure when its owner deletes their account.
Email fallback if the application is unavailable
- Send the request to info@uistio.fi.
- Where possible, use the same email address or Apple or Google account used to sign in to Uistio.
- Include only information needed to identify the account.
Uistio Oy may request verification of identity or account ownership before deletion. Data is not deleted from an unverified message if the request cannot be reliably linked to the account. Do not send passwords, tokens, API keys or exact private fishing coordinates.
Handling, retention and data remaining on a device
A privacy request sent by email is answered without undue delay and no later than one month after receipt. If an extension permitted by law is needed, it is explained during the first month.
The retention periods in the approved Finnish privacy notice also govern data handled during deletion. Once deletion of an interrupted registration is known to be complete, identification and work-stage details are removed within 30 days. A minimal completion record and deleted account identifier reuse prevention control remain for security.
Server-side deletion does not remotely clear every device cache. On a shared device, sign out and clear application data or remove the application.
