Delete the account in the application

Use this exact path in the application:

Sign in → Profile → account deletion → confirm deletion

Deletion confirmed by a signed-in user normally starts immediately after confirmation. The process removes the profile and user content linked to the account from active application data, including catches, lures, photos, notes, saved fishing spots, community content and push tokens.

Email fallback if the application is unavailable

1. Send the request to info@uistio.fi.
2. Where possible, use the same email address or Apple or Google account used to sign in to Uistio.
3. Include only information needed to identify the account.

Uistio Oy may request verification of identity or account ownership before deletion. It does not delete data on the basis of an unverified email alone when the request cannot be reliably linked to the account.

Do not send passwords, authentication or API tokens, API keys or exact private fishing coordinates by email.

Response period

In-application deletion normally starts immediately. Under the GDPR, Uistio Oy responds to a privacy request sent by email without undue delay and normally within one calendar month after receiving the request.

Removing active data does not mean that every provider log or backup copy disappears at the same moment. Those copies are removed according to the applicable provider-controlled deletion cycle. More information: Firebase privacy information.

Technical record retained after deletion

After account deletion, the system retains a technical deletion lock containing the user's UID, processing status, and creation and update timestamps. It does not contain catches, photos, notes or exact locations.

In the current implementation, the deletion lock is retained without automatic expiry until a bounded rule or documented review cycle is implemented.

Data remaining on a device

Server-side deletion does not remotely wipe Firestore or authentication caches on every device. On a shared device, sign out and clear the application data or remove the application.

Controller and contact details

The minimum age for a Uistio account is 13. Children under 13 may not create an account.
