Controller, service provider and contact details

By creating an account or using the application, the user accepts these terms. A user who does not accept them must not create an account or use the application.

Minimum age

Users must be at least 13 years old. Children under 13 may not create an account. Uistio does not collect date of birth and does not offer a guardian-consent verification flow.

Account responsibility

Users are responsible for keeping their account information current, protecting their sign-in method and activity performed through their account. An account must not be used to read, change or delete another user's data or to bypass safeguards.

Suspected unauthorised use should be reported promptly to info@uistio.fi.

User content and rights

Users retain their rights in content they add to the application. The user grants Uistio Oy a non-exclusive right, limited to what is necessary to provide the service, to store, process and display the content according to the functions the user selects.

Users are responsible for having the necessary rights to their content and for ensuring that it does not violate law, another person's rights or privacy. Illegal, threatening, abusive, misleading or rights-infringing content is prohibited.

Community conduct, moderation and reporting

Users must respect other people, local fishing rules and competition-specific rules. Suspected abuse or inappropriate content can be reported using the application's reporting function or by emailing info@uistio.fi.

Uistio Oy may review reported content and remove or restrict content or functions where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, comply with the law, protect other users or preserve the safety of the service.

Official distribution

Uistio is distributed only through the official App Store and Google Play channels, subject to availability. Users should install it only from the application store opened through Uistio's official download page.

Navigation and safety-critical use

Uistio's map, location, depth, weather and fishing information must not be relied on for navigation, emergencies or other safety-critical decisions. Users are responsible for checking official guidance, weather warnings, boating rules and fishing regulations.

BiteIndex, weather and catch estimates

BiteIndex and weather information are condition-based guidance and planning support. They are not a catch guarantee and do not replace the user's judgment or current official sources.

Service availability and maintenance

The service may be updated, maintained, changed or temporarily interrupted. Connections, devices and third-party services can affect availability, and uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. This does not limit the user's mandatory consumer rights.

Account restriction and termination

Uistio Oy may remove content, restrict an account or terminate it where the user materially breaches these terms or the law, threatens security, abuses the service or infringes the rights of others. The scope of the action is assessed in the circumstances.

Users can end the agreement by deleting their account as described in the account-deletion instructions.

Privacy

Personal-data processing is described in the privacy notice. The deletion steps, response period and residual technical record are described in the account-deletion instructions.

Changes and governing law

Uistio Oy may update these terms when the service, law or functions change. Where practicable, a material change and its effective date will be communicated in a reasonable manner before it applies.

Finnish law governs these terms. This choice of law and these terms do not remove any mandatory consumer rights that apply to the user.
